in congress we trust
A Colombian, a Dane, and a German walk into an apartment near Congreso– no it’s not the opening of a joke. It’s the opening explanation of how Life Aquatic/The Leaves, Makinola, and Robosonic, three artists, ended up collaborating on the current show at Hollywood in Cambodia.
As written at the gallery’s website, “It would be nice if one day the congress would do all efforts to make this place that enjoyable for every person living here.”
Check the show out before it closes on June 17.

Vomito Attack: Smarter than US Weekly?
Did the street art collective Vomito Attack imagine the Britney Spears head-shaving incident years before it actually happened?

Vomito Attack Stencil (from 2005, if not earlier)
Britney Spears (February 2007)
Genius!
As an aside, I’m convinced that I took a silkscreening course at C.C. Ricardo Rojas a few years ago with one of the Vomito Attack guys. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I promise not to reveal your identity. — REBECCA
